Registration
Every dog enters the AWBCR stud book through one of four pathways. Each is submitted, paid for and reviewed entirely through your member account.
Breeders of an AWBCR-eligible mating
The breeder registers the litter first: sire, dam, mating and whelping dates, and the puppies produced. Once the litter is approved, each puppy is issued its own AWBCR number and can be transferred to its new owner.
Owners of an eligible dog not registered through a litter
An individual dog whose parents are recorded in the stud book, or whose ancestry can be documented, may be registered directly without a litter application.
Owners of dogs registered with an approved working registry
A dog already registered with a recognized working Border Collie registry may be migrated into the AWBCR stud book. The original registry and number are retained on the record permanently.
Owners of working dogs with incomplete or unverifiable pedigree
Dogs that demonstrate genuine livestock-working ability may be admitted on merit following evaluation. ROM dogs are marked as such in the stud book and their descendants build pedigree from that point forward.
Applications are submitted from your member dashboard. Fees are shown before payment and each application can be tracked through review.
